Still Scammin’

There is now an absolute epidemic of scammers on social media who are pretending to either be running events or organisers of current events and asking for potential stallholders to send “registration details” and money.

They are usually from profiles with a fair innocuous profile picture but few likes or followers using bad grammar with incorrect spelling but us good hearted normal people will sometimes fall for them.  They may get very rude and abusive if you start to question them as well as pressuring you to “register” and send money.  They also know very little about the event or even what event it is and will give you inflated footfall figures and nonsensical parking details – that’s always a good tactic if you are questioning them,  ask them excitedly if there is a multi storey carpark attached to the venue! read more
