Difficult Times and the New Normal

Well, it’s been a strange year so far and we are not through with it yet.  As I write, vast swathes of “the North” have been put back into strict lockdown so who knows how the rest of the country will fare in the run up to Christmas?

Needless to say, the number of events we and other organisers have been able to take part in has been small or non existent for very good reasons.  We had a two day event in a very large very open indoor space (Milestones Museum in Basingstoke) back in August which was a relative success but that’s been it.

I (Lyn) am selling at various smaller fairs throughout the rest of the year, all with suitable Covid-19 precautions in place but your Ruby’s team have taken a deliberate decision not to organise anything else ourselves.

We do have the possibility of an outdoor vintage fair in November where we are part of a bigger weekend event, sort of as a trial run for something bigger next year so we will let you know about that just as soon as things are confirmed.

But we are discussing and planning for next year with some of our previous venues as we are desperately missing the buzz of live events, our wonderful stallholders and our amazing visitors so we will keep you informed.

In the meantime, stay safe and stay warm!
