VE Day 75 at Milestones Museum, Basingstoke

There is the most amazing museum tucked away on a leisure park in the modern town of Basingstoke….  Milestones is a world all of it’s own with cobbled streets, buildings both domestic and commercial from all eras, vintage vehicles including steam rollers and double decker buses and on the first May Bank Holiday this year, those streets and buildings will be teaming with troops of British soldiers, our gallant American allies, housewives and evacuees.

Ruby’s Vintage & Retro Fair will be in the heart of this scenario with stalls selling true vintage and fine repro.  We will have everything from militaria, 1940s clothes and accessories plus everything you have come to expect from one of our events.

The fun starts on Friday 8th May when the museum opens at 10am and goes on until 4.45pm.  You can also expect vintage style singers, dancers and lots of other activities.  Then for Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th May, opening time is 11am

Advance tickets are available from Milestones Museum  https://www.milestonesmuseum.org.uk

and if the weather is poor, then indoors is the place to be!

We are also on the lookout for more stallholders with 1940s vintage to offer so let us know via our form here on the website or email info@rubysvintage.co.uk

Photos are from Ray Frampton Photography and you can find more on his Facebook page RFPhotography or on our Facebook page where he has kindly let us share them
