2017 in Review and on to 2018

First of all, a very Happy New Year to all of our readers, visitors, stallholders and fans!

Thinking about our events in 2017, it was a mixed year – we’ve had some very successful and enjoyable days and some that were not so much….

There has been a continuing downturn in visitor numbers (although we appreciate each and every one of you)  and also spending is still careful from vintage lovers but we realise this is general across the vintage world so what is the solution?

We don’t know – and if you do, please be kind enough to share it with us!

Seriously, the plan for 2018 is to concentrate on events where Ruby’s Vintage Fair is part of a bigger picture such as the Sandhurst Military College Open Day, Millets Farm Centre and a couple of very exciting venues that we are in discussions with now.

So please add the following dates to your diaries:

Sunday 17th June – Sandhurst Military College Heritage Open Day, Camberley

Sunday 24th June – Yattendon Classic Vehicle Day near Newbury

Saturday 7th/Sunday 8th July – Millets Farm Centre near Abingdon

Saturday 8th/Sunday 9th September – Living History event in Berkshire

Saturday 15th/Sunday 16th September – 1940s weekend at National  Trust location in Buckinghamshire

Sadly Compton Verney, one of our favourite venues, has decided not to do a vintage day this year.

So you can see we are planning fewer days but bigger events with lots of other entertainment and a large built-in footfall of visitors.

Please keep reading our website and looking at our other social media – more details on all events will be posted on there as soon as we receive confirmation
