Ruby’s at Abingdon Guildhall 7th March

Friendof Ruby

Saturday 7th March saw some welcome sunshine and lots of happy sunny vintage lovers made their way to the Guildhall in Abingdon to shop in two rooms chock full of glorious vintage.  We had some stallholders follow us from their first Ruby’s at High Wycombe including Susan Baxter of Vintage Mabel who offered us high-end vintage clothes and Martin Hendry who takes unloved, unfashionable pieces of furniture and gives them new life and new style with clever use of paint and wall paper.  Check out our Facebook page for links to his website.

We had music playing all day from Mark of “Really Sayin’ Something” and Steve Conway gave us 3 sets of fabulous swing sounds which went down a treat!

Carli Morris was kept busy making beautiful ladies even more beautiful with retro make-overs and Ruby (1938 Vauxhall14/6 parked outside) found herself a couple of gentlemen friends including this splendid 1960s Rover pictured here with it’s very stylish owner Simon Brown.  Later on in the day, a beautiful blue Bugatti arrived as well.

We are back in Abingdon on 6th June before the Guildhall closes for a major refurbishment later in the summer, but before that we are at the Old Town Hall in High Wycombe on Sunday 17th May

We hope to see you there!
