With 6 weeks until our first event of the year back at the lovely Abingdon Guildhall, we are deep into advertising, flyers, booking stalls and other such administration that is necessary to put on an event.
It is with real pleasure that we can now announce that we are back at the historic Abingdon Guildhall for 2 dates this year – Saturday 18th May and Saturday 30th November.
We can’t use the Main Auditorium as before as it is now a pop-up cinema but we will fill the Roysse Room and the Old Magistrate’s Court Room (off the front foyer) with a great mixture of true vintage and fine retro.
Well, Lyn and Yvonne have been working hard to finalise returning Fairs and finding new venues and we have been successful to a degree!
Whilst we haven’t found any new venues to satisfy our (and your) demanding criteria, we are able to announce that we will be back at the Lakeview Suite upstairs at Millets Farm Centre on Saturday 23rd November.
Is this possibly the best combination in the world? Well, it’s your chance to find out this Saturday 18th August when Ruby’s comes to the West Berkshire Brewery & Tap Room.
This venue in Yattendon, near Newbury (RG18 0XT) has grown from a couple of sheds at the back of a local pub to a multi-million pound brewery which also owns 3 pubs in London. And all this without losing the personal touch and the traditional taste of bitter and lager. And now they do food too!
Come and find out for yourself this Saturday 18th August when Ruby’s will be in the Shop and the Tap Room along with live entertainment, classic cars and vintage style teas…..
We open at 11am and will close between 5pm and 6pm depending on visitor footfall.
Free entry and free parking so see you soon…
After a summer break, your Ruby team are busy with our last two events of this year – our only fair this year at the Old Town Hall in High Wycombe on Sunday 19th November and back in Abingdon at Our Lady’s School on Saturday 25th November.
Both of these are well under way on the planning stage with the Old Town Hall nearly full for stallholders and OLA running a waiting list already.
And because vintage never stops, we are already looking at dates and venues for 2018. We know that our stallholders have a big choice of events to attend so the sooner we can confirm our dates, the more chance we have of them coming to our Fair rather than going somewhere else!
So for next year, we have confirmed our 2 day event back at Millets Farm Centre near Abingdon for the weekend of 7th and 8th July – we had a tremendously enjoyable fair here in the summer and are delighted to be asked back to fill the marquee on the Lower Lawn once more.
We are waiting to hear back from the crack Army team about details of the Sandhurst Military Academy Heritage Open Day but we are penciling in Sunday 17th June for this one.
And of course, the small but beautiful Yattendon Classic Vehicle Day, near Newbury, with stalls in the village hall and the display field is booked for Sunday 24th June.
There will be repeats of other events as well and hopefully some new venues so please keep an eye on this website and our Facebook page.
As ever, we appreciate all of our visitors who come to see us, many of whom have become friends, and also our stallholders who make up such a delightful vintage family!
We look forward to seeing you at a Ruby’s vintage & Retro Fair very soon!
Lyn & Alison
Our marquee on the Lower Lawn will be packed full of great vintage and fab retro so put the dates in your diary whether you would like to sell with us or shop with us.
More details to follow
Free parking, no steps, good footfall, cake – what more could you want?
We are working very hard to fill these large marquees with the best vintage and retro around – we will have some of our Ruby Regulars plus some exciting new stallholders.
Selling spaces at both events are going fast so if you want to join us, then email us at email@example.com for more details and a booking form
See you there!
We had such a good time at Compton Verney’s 1950s Vintage Day last August, we’re coming back but this time with a 1960s groove!
The venue is running an exhibition celebrating the 1960s Op Art movement so we will be rocking our 60s look on Saturday 5th August.
More details will follow but save the date and start looking out for your go-go boots…..
After a lot of working out, calculator pounding and high level mathematics, we have finally been able to publish our prices for selling space at this very popular venue.
Obviously we would prefer you to take a space for both days but if you can only do one, we will endeavour to pair you up with someone who can do the other day!
If you haven’t received an email from us already, or if you are new to selling with Ruby’s, please do email us on rubysvintage@Hotmail.co.uk and we can give you all the information you need.
We are expecting space to go quickly so don’t delay!
